PRE-LAUNCH STATUS

Project OWN is not presented on this site as a launched commercial marketplace or registered company. Before commercial services begin, this policy will be replaced or expanded with the complete legal identity and contact details of the operating entity.

2. What data the current website processes

Information you actively provide

The current marketing build contains no account registration, newsletter form, payment form, comments, user uploads or other feature through which Project OWN intentionally asks you to submit personal data.

Technical request data

When the site is hosted publicly, the web host or infrastructure provider may automatically process technical request information needed to serve and protect the site. This may include IP address, date and time, requested page or file, request result, referrer, browser/user-agent information and security logs.

3. Why technical data may be processed

  • To deliver the website and its assets.
  • To maintain security, detect abuse and troubleshoot faults.
  • To understand aggregate operational reliability where the hosting provider supplies basic service logs.

For the current static site, the intended legal basis for necessary operational/security processing is legitimate interests in operating and protecting the website. If analytics, a waitlist, forms or marketing tracking are introduced later, this policy and any consent mechanism will be updated before those features are enabled.

4. Hosting and third-party resources

The production hosting provider has not been identified in this static build. Once joinown.games is deployed, this section should name or categorise that provider and describe any relevant international transfer safeguards.

Google Fonts

This build requests the Manrope, Inter and IBM Plex Mono typefaces through Google Fonts. Your browser therefore makes requests to Google-operated font infrastructure to obtain the stylesheet and font resources. Those requests can include technical information such as your IP address, browser/device information, request time and the page or referrer involved.

Google's own privacy information governs its processing of data received when its services are contacted. Project OWN does not use Google Analytics or Google Ads in this build.

5. Cookies and local storage

The Project OWN marketing code in this build does not set Project OWN cookies and does not use localStorage or sessionStorage. No analytics, advertising pixels or behavioural tracking scripts are included.

NO COOKIE BANNER FOR DECORATION

A consent banner should be introduced only if the deployed site begins using technologies that legally require consent. The policy will be updated at the same time.

6. Retention

Project OWN does not maintain its own visitor database in the current static build. Technical web/server logs, if enabled by the selected hosting provider, will be retained only for the period reasonably necessary for security, reliability and troubleshooting. The exact production provider and retention period must be inserted here once hosting is finalised.

7. Your data-protection rights

Where the GDPR applies and Project OWN processes personal data about you, you may have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability, depending on the circumstances. Requests can be sent to privacy@joinown.games.

You may also lodge a complaint with Malta's Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC) if you believe your personal data is being processed unlawfully.

8. Future OWN services

The future OWN application is expected to include accounts, libraries, studio workflows, ownership records and download functions. Those services are outside this marketing-site policy. A materially expanded privacy notice will be published before those systems collect real user data.

This notice may change as the website, hosting, analytics or contact features change. The version/date above will be updated when material changes are made.
