Your library may exist only while a service does.
PROJECT OWN / 00
BUY IT.OWN YOUR COPY.KEEP IT.
A gaming marketplace and preservation platform built around one principle: a game should survive the store that sold it.
OWN CURRENT / ENERGY → ORDER → OWNERSHIP
A PURCHASE SHOULDN'T HAVE AN OFF SWITCH.
You can buy a game.
And still depend on permission to keep using it.
Accounts disappear. Authentication servers shut down. Launchers become dependencies. Purchased libraries can feel permanent while the copy itself remains fragile.
Online infrastructure can become a single point of failure.
Convenience replaced much of the ritual of collecting and keeping.
Paid testing and fragmented launches can move risk onto players.
02 / THE OWN SHIFT
“I bought this, but I am borrowing access to it.”
“This is my copy. I can keep it.”
“Ownership” means durable control of a purchased copy for personal use — not ownership of the developer’s copyright or intellectual property.
03 / HOW PROJECT OWN WORKS
The platform can help deliver the game.
It must not become the game's life-support system.
04 / THE OWN APPLICATION
One place to discover,
inspect and keep.
The OWN application is the everyday interface for the ownership system: discover complete releases, inspect what a title depends on, keep purchased games in an archive-like Library and obtain standalone copies designed to survive independently of the platform.
CONVENIENCE, NOT PERMISSION. OWN can help you discover, download, verify and manage the copy. A previously obtained standalone game must not need the application simply to keep working.
05 / OWN CERTIFIED
A badge that must
actually mean something.
OWN Certified is binary. A title either meets the published mandatory standard or it does not. No paid tier. No “95% certified.” No hidden exception for a bigger publisher.
SYSTEM PREVIEW / TECHNICAL DATA MUST MAP TO REAL RECORDS
06 / GAME CORE
The physical copy
comes back.
Game Core is Project OWN's physical media format: modern flash storage presented as a durable, identifiable and collectible game archive object.
GAMES AREN'T JUST PLAYED. THEY'RE KEPT.
07 / THE GAME CORE DEVICE
Modern storage.
Built to be kept.
Technically, the Game Core uses modern USB flash storage. To the player, it is not a promotional pen drive: it is the physical archival copy of the release identified, versioned and designed to remain useful independently of Project OWN.
REMOVABLE PROTECTIVE CAP. The connector is covered when stored, while the body carries the OWN symbol, Core ID and Gold Master/build identity. The physical copy is designed around a standalone installer not a server-bound unlock that recreates the same dependency OWN is trying to remove.
08 / PLAYERS + DEVELOPERS
Not gamers versus developers.
Both against disposable games.
Project OWN gives independent studios a curated channel where meeting a meaningful ownership standard can become a discoverability advantage without selling unfinished builds to finance basic completion.
FINISHED GAMES FIRST
No paid Alpha, Beta or Early Access as normal consumer releases.
VISIBLE OWNERSHIP FACTS
Offline capability, installer independence, dependencies and preservation are shown clearly.
DEVELOPER DISCOVERABILITY
A smaller, curated catalogue where studios are not simply buried by scale.
PHYSICAL WHEN IT MAKES SENSE
Game Core can use preorder, batch or archive-on-demand models rather than forcing inventory risk.
09 / ROADMAP
Trust gates.
Not vanity percentages.
The roadmap advances only when the ownership outcome can be demonstrated.
10 / THIS IS THE BEGINNING
KEEP WHAT YOU BUY.
Project OWN is being built around permanence: complete releases, transparent ownership facts, preservation, standalone copies and a physical archive layer worth keeping.
